1.Try unplugging both cables from the back of the scanner
2. Close out all Internet explorer windows
3. Plug the cables back in
4. Then on the bottom corner of the check scanning screen switch it from PANNINI to Excella and then back to PANNINI.
5. Also, pull the lid section off the top of the scanner and put it back on after plugging back in. This should reset all the settings. That usually clears up the black line issue.
